Who is responsible for the content?
BestPetsCo is an independent pet-information publisher. The site does not currently publish individual contributor biographies, professional licenses or a veterinary advisory board. For that reason, health pages are presented as general education and should not be read as a diagnosis, treatment plan or substitute for a veterinarian who has examined your pet.
How guides are prepared
Product comparisons start with current manufacturer specifications, labels and care instructions, then compare U.S. retailer information, warranty or sizing details and recurring owner-reported concerns. Owner comments can reveal patterns worth checking, but they are not treated as clinical proof or a controlled product test.
Health and preventive-care pages are checked against established sources such as the American Animal Hospital Association, Feline Veterinary Medical Association, Companion Animal Parasite Council, American Heartworm Society, FDA and EPA when those sources apply. Each page remains general guidance because an individual pet's age, health, medications, location and risk factors can change the right answer.
What we do not claim
- No veterinary review unless a page names the qualified reviewer and explains the review.
- No hands-on, laboratory or long-term product test unless the page documents exactly what was tested.
- No guarantee that a product will be safe, effective or durable for every pet.
- No fabricated people, credentials, pets or first-hand experiences.
